The Alpina Apax JR. MIPS helmet ensures reliable head protection for children when riding mountain and MTB bikes. It is made using an in-mould process and has a robust ceramic shell. The polycarbonate plate is stretched into the shape of the future helmet at high heat, pressed onto the Hi-EPS body at high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The ceramic shell resists breaking and scratching, is UV stable and antistatic. The helmet provides a high degree of protection and comfort, which is enhanced by MIPS technology. The bottom edge of the helmet is protected by an additional polycarbonate Edge Protect shell that fits smoothly onto the upper shell. Fifteen vents provide ideal ventilation, while integrated fly nets protect children from insects. The shield guarantees additional protection in the field of vision.

The Alpina Apax JR. MIPS helmet features the Run Ergo Flex fitting system for comfort and safety. It has a filigree construction. The helmet fixes evenly around the 360° circumference of the head, making it easy to adjust as needed. The inner shell is made of Hi-EPS, a material with microscopic air pockets that effectively absorb the forces acting on the helmet upon impact.

The Alpina Apax JR. MIPS helmet features a MIPS insert that protects the head in a rotational fall. The insert is integrated into the inner part of the helmet, relative to which it moves. It also moves relative to the head. The construction of the Alpina Apax JR. MIPS helmet takes the anatomy of the skull into account. The MIPS insert provides additional protection against brain injuries that can be caused by rotational forces during a side impact.
