Lightweight Construction for a Sporty Ride
The Author Limit 24 bike is built for lightness and efficiency. Its foundation is a lightweight duralumin frame and a rigid fork, which together ensure low weight and high stiffness. This allows the bike to respond instantly to every pedal stroke and enables direct power transfer without unnecessary losses. The sporty geometry encourages correct posture and makes it easier for children to maintain a brisk pace on longer rides. The low weight also simplifies handling the bike when starting or carrying it.
Intuitive Gearing and Efficient Drivetrain
The bike's drivetrain is designed for simplicity and reliability. The single-chainring system eliminates the front derailleur, which reduces weight and simplifies control. This allows children to fully concentrate on the ride without having to think about complex gear combinations. Gear changes are handled by an 8-speed Shimano Tourney derailleur, controlled by a Shimano Revoshift grip shifter. The 11–34 tooth cassette offers enough gears for riding on flat terrain and tackling shorter climbs.
Versatile Tyres and Reliable Brakes
For riding on various surfaces, the bike is equipped with versatile Kenda Small Block Eight tyres with a width of 1.75 inches. Their dense, low-profile tread ensures fast rolling on asphalt and cycle paths, while the side knobs provide sufficient grip on hard-packed dirt or forest tracks. Safe stopping is ensured by Tektro V-Brakes, which are easy to control and reliable. The bike's durability is enhanced by double-wall aluminium rims.
