Safety and Ergonomics for Young Riders
The bike's design emphasises maximum safety and comfort. The chain is completely covered to prevent contact with legs or clothing. For the first few rides, you'll appreciate the guide handle integrated into the saddle, which allows you to easily hold onto your child and give them a sense of security. The brake levers and handlebars are ergonomically shaped for children's hands, ensuring easy and intuitive control. The narrow-profile grips with flared ends make for a comfortable hold and prevent hands from slipping off.
A Bike That Grows with Your Child
The AUTHOR Record 16 is designed to last your child as long as possible. The 9-inch frame is slightly larger than most competing bikes with 16-inch wheels. This difference does not compromise the ease of the first rides, but it significantly extends the bike's lifespan before your child outgrows it. The adjustable handlebar height also contributes to longer use, allowing you to easily adapt the bike to your little cyclist's current height.
A Stable and Lightweight Ride
The ride characteristics are tailored for beginners. The bike's geometry promotes stability, and its lightweight construction makes the first pedal strokes and overall handling a breeze. Thanks to the aluminium frame and fork, the bike has a weight of just 6.5kg. The treaded Kenda tyres offer excellent grip on asphalt and unpaved paths. The bike is equipped with a freewheel, so your child can coast without the pedals turning. Reliable stopping power is provided by Tektro V-Brake caliper brakes.
