The Fenix E28R V2.0 Rechargeable Pocket Flashlight offers up to 1700 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 273 meters. It is one of Fenix's most powerful flashlights with a single 18650 Li-ion battery that recharges via the USB-C port directly on the flashlight body without having to remove it. In an emergency, however, the flashlight can also be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries. Compared to the first generation, it also has a practical magnetic end for attaching to anything iron. The E28R V2.0 flashlight has seven different lighting modes, which allows you to choose between high power and long endurance (almost 11 days of continuous lighting), there are also strobe flashes for crisis situations and a warning light (Breathing light) in the button, where the battery charge indication is located. Using the Fenix E28R V2.0 flashlight
There may be an insulating cap on the battery inside the Fenix E28R V2.0 flashlight from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use. To switch on or off, hold the side button for about 0.5 seconds. The flashlight will always turn on to the last selected mode except for the highest mode and strobe. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. The strobe can be activated by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. The control button can be locked to prevent spontaneous switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage - press the control button twice quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock, press the button twice quickly again. Accidental switching on can also be prevented by loosening the body of the flashlight.
Fenix E28R V2.0 warning light
The 1 lumen warning light around the switch button can be illuminated by pressing the button three times quickly with the torch switched off. A subsequent press of the button switches between four functions - red light -> green light -> red pulsation -> green pulsing. The Fenix E28R V2.0 flashlight also features overheat protection. If the temperature exceeds 60 °C, the power is automatically reduced. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the highest power modes can be used again.
Charging the Fenix E28R V2.0 flashlight
Remove the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port of the flashlight. Re-seal the dust cap when charging is complete. Current charging time is 3 hours with a 5 V/2 A USB power supply for a fully discharged flashlight. During charging, theFenix E28R V2.0 can be used in 5 and 50 lumen modes. During charging, the indicator LED in the button is red. When fully charged, it will light up green.
Battery charge indication
After switching on, or after a short press of the button when the torch is switched off, the LED indicator in the button is activated for 3 seconds. If the indicator light is green, the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is 25-50% charged. A red flash indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains. If the voltage drops below the set level the lamp will reduce the brightness to a lower level until it reaches 5 lumens. When the lowest power level is reached, the LED indicator in the button will flash red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. This function is only active when using 18650 batteries.

Light flux
It is specified in Lumens (lm) and the higher the value, the more intensely the headlamp shines. Some LED headlamps offer multiple levels of light intensity, adjustable either in steps or continuously.
