The KMC X-12 bike chain is designed for all 12-speed shifting systems on mountain and road bikes, with the exception of SRAM Flat-Top. Its non-directional design makes installation easy, and the profiled X-shaped sides of the links support smooth and fast gear changes. Resistance to wear and corrosion is increased by a titanium nitride surface treatment, which also reduces friction. For easy connection and disconnection during maintenance, the chain is equipped with a quick link.

The lifespan of the KMC X-12 chain is extended by a titanium nitride (Ti-N) surface treatment, which creates a very hard and smooth layer on the surface. This reduces friction and wear while protecting the chain from corrosion. Smooth and precise gear changes are supported by the Double X-Bridge design of the outer links. Their special X-shape allows for fast and reliable shifting between sprockets, even when riding under load.
