Tubolito Tubo MTB inner tube is a lightweight alternative to classic inner tubes for mountain bikes. It is compatible with 27.5 and 29-inch wheels and tyre widths from 1.8 to 2.5 inches. Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) ensures significantly higher puncture resistance while reducing rolling resistance. Weighing just 78g, you save over 60% in weight compared to a standard inner tube.

Durable material and low weight

The core of the Tubolito inner tube is thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which replaces traditional butyl rubber. This material features high elasticity and durability, making the inner tube up to 60% lighter than standard models while offering higher protection against punctures or pinch flats. The lower weight of the rotating parts of the wheel contributes to better acceleration and easier handling off-road.

Installation and usage specifics

The inner tube features a 42mm Presta valve (SV/FV), which is common on modern mountain bikes. Before fitting it into the rim, the manufacturer recommends slightly inflating the inner tube to a pressure of 0.2–0.5 bar to make correct seating easier. Note that the inner tube is designed only for disc brakes. In the event of a roadside flat, you can inflate it with a CO2 canister in an emergency, but you must then deflate the CO2 and replace it with air.
