Thermal Grizzly Intel 13th & 14th Gen CPU Contact Frame is a mounting kit for Intel motherboards with LGA1700 socket. The frame replaces standard ILM motherboards. It is made of anodized aluminium, which is durable and promises a long life. The Thermal Grizzly contact frame prevents IHS concave curvature by transferring contact pressure to the edges of the processor. The result is lower CPU temperature due to better heat dissipation and closer contact between the CPU and the heatsink.

The conventional Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) has its contact points located in the centre of the processor and the heat sink surface (IHS) is pushed inwards. The Thermal Grizzly Intel 13th & 14th Gen CPU Contact Frame has a special internal contour that shifts contact pressure from the center of the CPU to the edges during assembly. As a result, the heatsinks fit the processor better and provide a larger contact area for heat dissipation from the processor.
