The TP-Link VIGI C240 outdoor IP Dome camera provides a detailed image in a resolution of 2560 × 1440px. It uses a sensitive 1/3" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor that captures video at 4MP resolution with a frame rate of up to 30fps, contributing to smooth and clear recordings. It has a fixed 2.8mm lens with a horizontal viewing angle of 95.7°. The Full-Colour technology ensures colour imaging even in complete darkness, with a range of up to 30m. The camera supports people and vehicle recognition, has IP67 and IK10 resistance ratings, and can be powered via PoE or a 12V DC adapter. The camera uses modern H.265+ encoding for efficient data compression without degrading the final image quality. It also supports H.265, H.264+, and H.264 compression formats.

Full-Colour Night Mode and AI
This model uses Full-Colour technology, which maintains colour display even in complete darkness. The camera combines a highly sensitive sensor with a white LED illuminator and an 850nm infrared LED. The lighting system, with a range of up to 30m, supports automatic, scheduled, and continuous operation modes, so the camera provides a high-quality image in various lighting conditions. Integrated artificial intelligence algorithms constantly evaluate the scene being captured and reliably distinguish people and vehicles from other objects. Users can set rules for crossing a marked line, entering a guarded zone, leaving a zone, or detecting abandoned or removed objects. When unwanted activity is detected, the camera triggers a flashing white light and immediately sends a push notification.
Sound Recording and Video Storage
The camera body integrates a sensitive microphone that captures sounds in the device's vicinity up to a distance of 4.5m. This feature enhances monitoring with an acoustic component and helps to better reconstruct recorded events. The audio stream undergoes ambient noise filtering and uses G.711 alaw compression with a sampling rate of 8kHz for high-quality audio track transmission along with the video. For storing recordings, a MicroSD memory card slot supporting capacities of up to 256GB is integrated directly into the camera body. The device offers flexible management via a web interface, NVR interface, the VIGI app, and VIGI Security Manager software. VIGI VMS, VIGI Cloud VMS, VIGI Config Tool, and VIGI PC Client are also available for remote management and monitoring of the camera system.
Connectivity and Applications
Network connection is provided by an RJ-45 Ethernet port with a speed of 10/100Mb/s. The camera supports the ONVIF Profile S/T/G interface and network protocols including RTSP, which facilitates integration into compatible surveillance systems. Management and remote access are enabled by the VIGI app, web interface, VIGI VMS, VIGI Cloud VMS, VIGI Config Tool, and VIGI PC Client.
