Perfectly aligned magnets snap onto compatible iPhone models. When paired with a 30W power adaptor, the MagSafe Charger provides up to 15W of wireless charging. The MagSafe Charger is certified for Qi2.2 and Qi standard charging, so it can be used to wirelessly charge iPhone 8 or later, as well as AirPods models with a wireless charging case. It is sold with a cable in two lengths: 1 metre and 2 metres. Magnetic alignment only works with iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, compatible iPhone 16 models, iPhone 17 models and iPhone Air.

Fast-charge testing was conducted with drained iPhone units. Measured from the moment the Apple logo appears on the screen after powering on the device. Charge time varies with adaptor, settings, usage and environment; actual results will vary.
- Charging speed depends on the total power of a charger (W) and the maximum power that can be used to charge the device that is being charged. If the charger provides more power than the device supports, the power supplied is automatically reduced so that the device is not damaged in any way.
