Alice Oseman is an award-winning author, illustrator, and screenwriter. She was born in 1994 in Kent, England. She has written contemporary YA novels about the various disasters of adolescence: Solitaire (HarperCollins, 2014), Radio Silence, I Was Born for This, and Loveless (HarperCollins, 2020). She is also the author of the LGBTQ+ YA romance comic Heartstopper (Hachette Children's Group, 2019 to present) and the screenwriter, creator, and executive producer of the television adaptation of Heartstopper, which is shown on Netflix. Alice's first novel, Solitaire, was published when she was nineteen. Her novels and comics have received nominations for the YA Book Prize, the Inky Awards, the Carnegie Medal, and the Goodreads Choice Award.
