A GPS locator is a small device that can track and locate objects. To use the GPS locator, call the SIM card that needs to be preloaded in the locator, and the device will send you the exact location with a link to Google Maps. This locator determines its location using GPS positioning, and then sends the exact coordinates to your phone by SMS (or to your PC via GPRS).

You can select one of two ways to use the tracking function of the Helmer LK 508. In the first option, the device sends information via SMS, which has the advantage of being low cost since you only pay for each message sent. The second option uses data tracking, whereby the locator sends information at selected time intervals to a special server where it is possible to edit the route (maximum data consumption is 50MB/month).

Other functions:

  • Listening - after switching to this mode, you can hear sounds around the locator when you call it
  • Password settings - communication with the locator can be secured with a password so that the locator sends information only to the desired phone number
  • Motion alert - if the locator moves a distance greater than a set limit, it will send a warning SMS
  • Geo-Fence locking - With this feature, you can restrict the locator's movement to a limited area (if it leaves the area, it will send a warning message)
  • OBDII self diagnostics - A function compatible with gasoline-powered cars produced in the EU after 2001 (also for diesel engines manufactured in the EU after 2003)
  • Speeding - the locator sends a warning message alert when exceeding the preset speed
  • Shock sensor - 3 sensitivity levels
  • ACC alarm - Alert when starting a car
  • GPS Loss Warning - Sends a warning SMS with the last known position before signal loss
  • Warning alert when disconnecting the locator from the external power supply
