The Bosch voltage tester GVD 1000-17 is a compact instrument for fast and safe non-contact detection of AC voltage in the range from 24 to 1,000 V (low voltage mode) or 90 to 1,000 V AC (high voltage mode). The instrument finds a wide range of applications, from checking common household sockets to professional electrical work. The tester is equipped with a tip with a coloured LED voltage indication (red, orange, green), which is complemented by a sound and vibration signal for better feedback. There is also an automatic testing function that verifies the functionality of the device before each use. The tester has a rugged design with IP67 rating, so it can withstand dust and water ingress and withstand drops from up to two metres. The Bosch GVD 1000-17 is powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries, which are included in the package.
