The fire detector can operate completely autonomously or as part of the Homematic IP smart home system in combination with the free mobile app and the HmIP-HAP Central Unit. Connection via radio waves, control via Android and iOS app in Czech, English and other languages.

The wireless smoke detector HmIP-SWSD certified according to the ČSN standard EN 14604 is part of the Homematic IP smart home system. The detector has the latest technology of photoelectric scattered light sensor and thus reliably detects the development of smoke gases in the air of the monitored area. Unlike most other fire detectors on the market, it has numerous innovative features such as LED emergency lighting, a built-in power battery for 10 years of operation, radio communication, etc.
- The fire detector is certified in accordance with ČSN, EN 14604:2006, CPD and vfdb 14-01, CE, Q label.
- In the event of an alarm, the built-in 85 dB high-pitch siren is activated.

System operation
Wireless connection of Homematic IP devices to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit offers convenient setup and control of a complex smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the devices, and forward configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual smart home devices.
Fire detectors as the basis for a smart home
There are still a large number of fires, and the risk of fires also increases as appliances become more equipped. The consequences of a fire can be fatal, both financially and psychologically. With smart home integration, you should include basic fire protection features in your plan. The HmIP-SWSD fire detector reacts to the presence of smoke and in the event of an alarm activates the built-in 85 dB siren, emergency LED lighting and sends a signal to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit. You will then receive information about the alarm event via push notifications in the Homematic IP mobile app and can take countermeasures.
An ideal smoke detector for new buildings as well
The detector meets the latest standards and is approved according to EN 14604:2006. At the same time, it demonstrates compliance with the latest legislative requirements in the form of the Decree on Technical Conditions of Fire Protection of Buildings 268/2011 Coll. (amends the original well-known Decree No. 23/2008 Coll. ) and is thus designed for installation in new buildings with CE certification and documentation for the approval procedure.
Alarm indication and emergency LED lighting
In the event of a fire, it is not only essential to inform you as quickly and as early as possible, but also to point out the critical location or show you the quickest way to safely exit the home. That is why the Homematic IP detectors not only include an acoustic warning with a built-in 85 dB siren and a visual red LED indication of the alarm signaling, but also the activation of a powerful white LED light for emergency lighting of the escape route at night or in case of heavily smoky areas.

Easy installation in just a few moments
Installation of the Homematic IP wireless smoke alarm is very simple and can be done by anyone. Wireless communication and battery operation offer the possibility of easy installation on the ceiling without the need for wiring. This means that the detector can be placed almost anywhere on the ceiling indoors. The package includes a bracket for fixed mounting on the ceiling using the supplied mounting material (dowels, screws).
