Basswood body
The top, back and sides are all made from basswood. This layered body generates warm, balanced tones for both quiet and loud playing. The high resonance of the basswood transfers the string vibrations without unwanted distortion and enhances the natural depth of the sound. The instrument is suitable for both solo playing and accompanying chords. The basswood neck is joined to the guitar body using a set-neck construction. This strong, glued joint between the neck and body helps to efficiently transfer the string vibrations directly into the instrument's resonance chamber. This construction results in a long sustain, which prolongs the decay of individual notes and chords.
