Thanks to the variable focal length from 18 to 6,3 mm (35mm eq.: 27 - 1,5 mm), it is classified as a zoom lens that has a wide view angle. In addition to interiors, countrysides and architecture, you can use it to take reportage photos. The aperture ranges from f/3,5 to f/6,3, and the maximum aperture is 40. This will give you a smaller depth of field and a fairly blurred background. If you prefer taking photos from the hand, you'll love the camera's optical stabilization.
