The second generation of the highly popular Fenix HM51R Ruby V2.0 rechargeable headlamp offers up to 700 lumens (ANSI) of neutral white light (4500K) with a range of up to 120 meters and also features red LEDs. It is powered by one rechargeable battery type RCR123A (included), which is recharged directly in the flashlight via a modern USB-C connector, alternatively, a disposable lithium battery CR123A can be used for power (with limited max. output at 150 lumens). The control button also features an indicator LED so you'll always know when to recharge the battery. The end of the flashlight is magnetic, so it can be easily attached to anything metal. HM51R has nine different lighting modes, which allows you to choose between high performance and long endurance (up to 120 hours). The Fenix HM51R Ruby V2.0 flashlight is powered by digitally controlled constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the battery voltage is reduced (when the battery is slowly discharging).

The all-metal construction of the Fenix HM51R Ruby V2.0 headlamp ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a small pocket flashlight. In addition, the faceplate is equipped with a steel removable buckle, so you can easily attach it to your pocket or strap. The Fenix HM51R V2.0 headlamp is the ideal companion for a variety of sporting activities, trips to the outdoors and home and work.

There may be a black insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use. When switched off, the Fenix HM51R Ruby V2.0 headlamp switches to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds. The off headlamp switches to the last used mode of the red light with a double quick press of the button. The headlamp is switched off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds. When the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cycled through 3 - 50 - 150 - 400 - 700 lumens (when switched on to white light) respectively. red 1 lumen - red 5 lumens - red flashing - red SOS (when switched to red light). The flashlight has a memory and always switches on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light).

The operation of the Fenix HM51R Ruby V2.0 headlamp on the highest mode is limited to 1 minute, then the power is gradually reduced to about 500 lumens within 5 minutes. If the internal temperature of the lamp rises above 60°C, it will automatically begin to further reduce power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature of the lamp drops below 60°C, the power will gradually increase again. Operation in 400 lumens mode is limited to 5 minutes, after which the output is gradually reduced to 200 lumens over 5 minutes.

After a short press of the button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator light is green, the battery is more than 80% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-80% capacity. If it is red, it is charged to 20-50%. A red flash indicates that less than 20% of the battery capacity remains. The indication only works correctly with RCR123A / 16340 rechargeable batteries.

Unclip the rubber cap of the charging connector and plug the included cable into the flashlight (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank or USB mains or car adapter (not included). During charging, the side button glows red and turns green when fully charged. After charging the flashlight, reseal the charging connector with the rubber cap. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 1.5 hours. In an emergency, the flashlight can also be used while charging, but only the 5 and 50 lumen white modes and red modes will be available.

If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp automatically switches to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will flash red. However, the Fenix HM51R Ruby V2.0 headlamp will continue to glow until the battery is completely depleted. Note: Low battery warning is calibrated only to the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries
