Hammock, Mosquito Net, and Tarp in One System
The SkyNest combines several pieces of outdoor equipment into one modular solution. You can use the hammock together with the fine mosquito net and protective tarp, or separate the individual parts. The hammock alone is perfect for relaxing in good weather, while the tarp can be used separately as a shelter, canopy, or to protect your gear. A pair of zips allows you to separate the hammock from the tarp, and the mosquito net can be rolled up if needed.
Protective Tarp for Bad Weather
The top tarp is made of lightweight 20D ripstop nylon with a silicone treatment. It offers a 3,000mm water column and UPF 50+ protection, helping to shield you from rain, wind, and sun. You can adjust its shape according to the situation and, by using suitable poles, also create an open shelter in veranda mode. Support poles are not included in the package.
More Headroom
Standard hammocks with a ridgeline often create a narrow triangular space where the mosquito net can lie close to your face. The SkyNest design uses a wider pentagonal profile. This keeps the mosquito net taut and pointing outwards, leaving more space inside for comfortable rest and sleep.
Double-Layer Bottom with Space for a Sleeping Mat
The bottom part of the hammock has a double-layer construction. The outer layer is made of 20D nylon with a 2,000mm water column, which helps protect the interior from moisture from below. The inner layer uses lightweight and durable 20D ripstop nylon. You can insert a sleeping mat between the two layers to improve back support, thermal comfort, and stability when sleeping on your side. The recommended maximum size for a sleeping mat is 200×75×10cm.
Ready for Underquilt Use
At the edges of the hammock, there are attachment points for an underquilt. This helps to reduce heat loss through the bottom of the hammock in colder weather. The underquilt is not included in the package.
High Load Capacity and Durable Suspension
The declared safe load capacity of the hammock is 200kg. During testing, the double-layer construction was loaded with a weight of 240kg for 24 hours. The suspension system uses aluminium elements with a strength of 12kN and two 2.8m long straps made of durable 1000D polyester.
Quick Field Setup
The ready-made system of straps, a ridgeline, and tensioning elements allows the hammock to be assembled in approximately one minute. The tension lines are equipped with elastic elements and adjustable buckles, which make it easier to tighten the tarp and partially absorb the impact of the wind. The lines can be hidden in the integrated triangular pockets after use, so they don't get tangled during packing.
Convenient Entry from Both Sides
A pair of two-way zips creates an entrance on both sides of the hammock. This means you don't have to worry about which way the entrance is facing when you hang it. You can comfortably get into the hammock from the left or right and close the mosquito net from the inside or outside.
Can Also Be Used Without Trees
If necessary, the hammock can be set up on the ground and, using trekking poles, found sticks, guy lines, and pegs, you can create a low-profile, free-standing shelter. The construction uses a stable pyramid-shaped layout. Trekking poles and support poles are not included in the package.
Practical Pocket for Personal Belongings
On the ridgeline, there is a multi-purpose storage pocket for a phone, glasses, keys, or other small items. Its angled design also allows you to store a bottle of approximately one litre without it easily slipping out.
