Just Like a Real Baby
The Oliver doll is designed to resemble a real baby as much as possible. It has a soft fabric body, while the head and limbs are made of plastic. A key feature is the weighted filling in the head and bottom, which makes the doll weigh approximately 1.4kg and gives its body realistic movement. When you pick it up, you need to support its head, just like with a newborn. Flexible joints in the shoulders and hips allow you to pose the doll, for example, sitting it up or dressing it in different outfits.
Sound Effects and Spanish Craftsmanship
In addition to its realistic appearance, the doll also offers an interactive element. A gentle press on the tummy activates a sound module that plays the sound of an authentic baby's laugh. This feature adds another dimension to playtime and encourages interaction. The Guca Oliver doll is handmade in Spain. The batteries required for the sound module are already included in the package, so it's ready for play right out of the box.
An Aid in Occupational Therapy and for Seniors
The Oliver doll is not just for play. Thanks to its weight and realistic design, it is often used as a therapeutic aid. In occupational therapy, it helps to develop fine motor skills and caring habits in children and adults. For seniors, especially people with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, holding a weighted doll can induce feelings of calmness and security, and reduce anxiety. Its presence stimulates the senses and promotes emotional well-being.
