The TP-Link EAP720, Omada BE3600 dual-band WiFi access point brings the power of Wi-Fi 7 to demanding business and home environments. It achieves a combined transfer speed of 3570Mbps, split between the 5GHz (2882Mbps) and 2.4GHz (688Mbps) bands. For high throughput and low latency, it integrates key technologies like Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which combines both bands for a single data stream, and 4K-QAM for more efficient data transfer. The device serves over 250 concurrent clients and, with Mesh support, you can easily create extensive networks with seamless roaming.
This Wi-Fi 7 access point operates on two bands and uses the 802.11be standard. It optimises data transfer using Multi-Link Operation (MLO) technology, which aggregates data streams from the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to reduce latency and increase connection reliability. Other features include 4K-QAM modulation and EHT160 bandwidth, which boost network throughput. OFDMA and Multi-RU technologies efficiently allocate channels to multiple clients simultaneously, limiting interference in high-density environments. Four internal antennas with Beamforming direct the signal straight to clients.
The access point covers an area of up to 140m² and serves more than 250 connected devices simultaneously. Its capacity is ideal for deployment in offices, schools or public spaces. Mesh technology wirelessly links multiple units into a single unified network. This allows users to move freely throughout the covered area without connection dropouts, as their devices automatically and seamlessly switch to the access point with the strongest signal.
Full compatibility with the Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform unifies the management of all network elements, including access points, switches and gateways, into a single interface. Configure and monitor the network via the web interface, the Omada mobile app, or a hardware or software controller. Cloud access provides the ability to manage remotely from anywhere. The device works as an access point or as part of a larger Mesh network.
Network protection is ensured by support for modern encryption standards WPA2-Personal, WPA2-Enterprise, WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise. Administrators can use advanced features such as network segmentation using VLANs, Access Control, client isolation, or guest authentication via a Captive Portal. The system also detects unauthorised access points on the network and supports MAC address filtering. To connect to the backbone network, the access point uses a single 2.5G Ethernet port, which fully harnesses the potential of the 802.11be wireless standard. You can power it flexibly either using 802.3at PoE technology or the included 12V/1.5A DC adapter. This flexibility makes wall or ceiling installation easy.
