The Xiaomi Tag location tracker emits a secure Bluetooth signal that nearby devices can detect. These devices then anonymously upload the location to the cloud, so you can see it in the corresponding tracking app. The entire process is encrypted to protect your privacy and the system is highly efficient, so you don't have to worry about battery life or data usage.¹ The Xiaomi Tag's location data is encrypted during transmission, so only you can see its location. If an unknown Tag follows you for an extended period, the system will send an anti-tracking alert.² Place the Xiaomi Tag in your handbag or wallet, or attach it to personal items like keys, rings and suitcases, then open the corresponding tracking app to find them.

¹ The Xiaomi Tag transmits signals via Bluetooth, and its detection and tracking depend on the support of a third-party "Find My Device" network. This signal is only recognised by devices connected to the corresponding network. The Apple Find My network and the Google Android Find Hub network operate independently, so cross-network detection or location is not supported.

³ The device has been tested and certified with an IP67 rating according to IEC 60529:1989+A1:1999+A2:2013. The water resistance conditions include submersion in still fresh water to a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes, with a temperature difference between the water and the product of up to 5K. This resistance only applies to laboratory conditions, which do not correspond to normal use. Therefore, the IP rating is not guaranteed when exposed to conditions outside the test environment. Self-testing or use on the beach or in a swimming pool is not recommended. The IP rating may decrease due to normal wear and tear, physical damage, or disassembly for repair. Avoid replacing the battery or pressing the button when in contact with moisture. Follow the instructions in the user manual.
