The ADAM AUDIO D3V are active two-way nearfield monitors in a sleek black finish. A power supply and mains cable are included in the package. Thanks to their compact dimensions and integrated DAC with a USB connection, they are particularly well-suited for composers and producers. The D3V model offers a power output of 120W in a frequency range of 45 to 23,000Hz with an output impedance of 32 Ohms. The speakers support a direct USB-C connection for seamless linking with computers, mobile phones, and tablets. TRS inputs are also included for classic audio applications.

Precision Speaker Craftsmanship
The D3V model combines a durable construction of PC-ABS material and aluminium woofers with compact dimensions. The woofers are complemented by dual-sided passive radiators, which ensure a better response in the low-frequency spectrum. The 1.5" D-ART AMT tweeter completes the overall soundscape. Control is provided by a rotary knob on the front panel.
System Type
An active speaker is one that has a built-in amplifier, and to listen, you just need to connect it to a sound source, either wired or wirelessly. Passive speakers are more often referred to as speaker systems. They are intended more for high-quality, loud, and dynamic listening in the comfort of your home and are not suitable for frequent transport. The main advantage of passive speakers is the ability to connect a variety of sources through a separate amplifier.
Number of Channels
The number of channels in speaker systems and home cinemas indicates the number of independent audio signals (speakers) and subwoofers, most often in the X.Y format (e.g., 2.0, 5.1). It denotes how many audio tracks are reproduced simultaneously, which determines the spatial experience and bass depth of the system, from basic stereo sound (2.0) to surround sound (5.1 and above).
The number of channels refers to the number of independent audio signals that can be reproduced simultaneously. An example might be 2-channel stereo sound, where each channel represents one ear (left and right), or 5.1 channel surround sound, which has five full channels (front left, center, front right, rear left, rear right) and one channel for the subwoofer.

The number of bands refers to the number of frequency bands that the loudspeaker or system reproduces. A single-band loudspeaker produces all the sounds from a single transducer, while a multi-band loudspeaker has multiple transducers, each optimised for a specific frequency range (e.g. high, mid, low frequencies). Multiband systems often provide better sound quality because each band can be reproduced by a transducer designed specifically for that frequency range.
