The Garmin Fenix series is a legendary line of smartwatches known for their high durability, long battery life, and versatile sports and outdoor capabilities. They also offer continuous monitoring of a wide range of health data, an elegant design, a wealth of smart features, and compatibility with both iOS and Android smartphones. The 47mm size is suitable for medium to large wrists. The Garmin Fenix E features a durable steel bezel and a high-luminosity AMOLED display with bright colours and high resolution. The display can be set to an Always On mode or a power-saving mode that extends battery life. In power-saving mode, the Garmin Fenix E smartwatch display wakes up with a gesture when you raise and turn your wrist towards your face. During sports activities, you can independently set whether the display should turn off or remain permanently visible. The smartwatch display is protected by mineral glass hardened with Corning® Gorilla® Glass technology. One of the main advantages of the Fenix E (47mm) model is its extremely long battery life, which can power the watch for up to 16 days on a single charge in power-saving mode. The Garmin watch uses a system of quick-release straps, letting you switch between different colours or strap materials to suit your mood or outfit. The watch uses straps compatible with the QuickFit 22mm system.
The standout feature of the Garmin Fenix E smartwatch is its large 1.3" AMOLED display, which excels in the quality of its colour reproduction, animations, and all details. To prevent damage, you can rely on the protective Corning® Gorilla® Glass. The smartwatch can be easily controlled via the touchscreen or buttons.
Sports functionality is one of the main reasons to choose a watch from the Garmin Fenix series. The watch uses a system of sports profiles dedicated to individual sports activities. Each sports profile has its own settings and specific functions for that type of sport. The Garmin Fenix E watch is suitable for most sports activities, both indoor and outdoor. The activities where the watch is most frequently used include: walking, running, cycling, swimming, skiing, triathlon, rowing, strength training, yoga, golf, and many other sports. Its high durability and long battery life make the watch ideal for outdoor activities. For these purposes, the Garmin Fenix E is equipped with an electromagnetic compass sensor with automatic tilt correction, a barometric pressure sensor, an altimeter, and a depth gauge. The watch is capable of detailed navigation over a detailed map, including detailed turn-by-turn directions while moving along a route. Routes can be planned directly on the watch, in the Garmin Connect mobile app, or even using the popular Czech app Mapy.cz. A satellite receiver with support for GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO satellite systems and a multi-band GPS receiver ensures precise position calculation.
The long battery life of the Garmin Fenix E lets you wear it all day without needing to take it off frequently for charging. The watch is therefore able to continuously measure and record daily and nightly health and activity data. This primarily includes heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen level, breathing rate, daily step count, floors climbed, and minutes of intense activity. From these measured values, the watch derives other functions and metrics, such as Body Battery, Stress Score, Heart Rate Variability Status, temperature and altitude acclimatisation status, and more. The health monitoring functions also include features for measuring sleep duration and quality. In addition to duration and a Sleep Quality Score, the Garmin Fenix E also measures individual sleep stages, short naps, and provides recommendations for achieving better sleep and recovery.
The Garmin Fenix E watch can be connected to smartphones with Android and iOS operating systems. On both platforms, displaying notifications and incoming calls on the watch screen is a standard feature. If you own an Android phone, you can also reply to messages directly from the watch display. Popular features include Garmin Pay contactless payments, which let you add a digital copy of your regular payment card to the Fenix E (if your card supports the feature) and then pay with the watch in a similar way to using a payment card. Another popular gadget is the built-in music player with support for offline listening from Spotify, Deezer, or Amazon Music. Simply connect wireless headphones to the Garmin Fenix E via Bluetooth and listen to music even without your phone.
For communicating with a smartphone and for long-term storage of measured data, the Garmin Fenix E watch uses the Garmin Connect mobile app, which is available for free download. The app and the user interface of the Garmin Fenix E smartwatch are fully localised into Czech.
