The Nice smart switched socket with metering remotely turns connected electrical appliances in your home on and off. The adapter plugs directly into a standard mains socket and integrates conventional appliances into a wireless home automation system. The device operates within a closed system and is intended exclusively for indoor use in dry environments, such as living rooms or offices. The integrated metering functions monitor electricity consumption in real time and provide data in kilowatt-hours. A built-in circular LED ring instantly indicates the current load level of the connected appliance by changing colour. The device itself has a power consumption of up to 1.6W. The data collected helps to optimise the running costs of connected appliances.
To use the product's smart features, you need to add the device to the manufacturer's app. For more information about the app (name, supported OS, supported languages) and how to add the device, please refer to the product manual.
The device uses the Z-Wave wireless protocol with a 500 series chip for data transmission. This communication standard operates in the European band at frequencies of 868.4MHz or 869.8MHz, which ensures a connection with the control unit. For other regions, it offers a frequency band of 921.4MHz or 919.8MHz. All non-battery-powered network devices in this structure act as repeaters, increasing the overall range and reliability of data transmission.
The design can safely handle a continuous resistive load with a rated current of up to 11A. The socket reliably powers appliances with a power consumption of up to 2500W at a standard voltage of 230V AC with a frequency of 50/60Hz. For CEE 7/16 plugs, the permissible load is 2.5A, while for CEE 7/17 plugs the limit is up to 11A. These parameters define the safe operating limits for everyday use on a home network. The built-in transceiver transmits a signal with a power of up to -10dBm EIRP into the surrounding area. The wireless connection reaches a distance of 40 metres indoors, depending on building materials, and up to 50 metres in open outdoor terrain. The device also functions as a Z-Wave network range tester, allowing you to easily verify the signal quality and connection stability with the main control unit at a given location.
The device includes integrated protection that responds to dangerous overvoltages in the electrical network. Physical load switching is performed by a reliable internal relay microswitch marked with μ. The product corresponds to software class A according to the EN 60730-1:2012 standard and meets the requirements for pollution degree 2. The design complies with the European directive 2014/53/EU, which confirms its conformity with safety standards. This model requires a connection via a compatible central unit to function correctly. The mobile application supports Android and iOS operating systems in Czech and English. Support is also available for the Windows operating system and control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants. Connection to the home network is via a 2.4GHz WiFi wireless interface.
