Standard ISO 80, film simulations
By improving the pixel structure on the sensor, the standard sensitivity has been extended to ISO 80. Now photographers can take 16-bit images with wider dynamic range and lower noise than ever before. The GFX100S II features 20 film simulation modes, including REALA ACE, which provide a wide range of creative looks.
Pixel Shift Multi-Shot
The GFX100S II features Pixel Shift Multi-Shot, which uses the in-body image stabilization system to precisely shift the sensor by 0.5 pixels for each frame when recording 16 consecutive RAW images. The images are then processed using specialized Pixel Shift Combiner software to create a single 400-megapixel image. In addition, Real colour mode records four RAW files with a one-pixel offset between each frame. With the feature, it is possible to create 102-megapixel images with false colour suppression, using only a quarter of the time and data of the previous GFX100S model.
Advanced image effects and precise colour control
Features of the Fujifilm GFX100S II include Grain Effect, which gives images an aesthetic, naturally grainy, film grain-like appearance. The Smooth Skin Effect function is ideal for portraits - smoothing the skin texture for a more flattering look. Realistic colours are achieved by creating deeper tones, which is ideal for vivid subjects, flowers and bright landscapes. The GFX100S II supports the HEIF image format, a 10-bit file with over a billion colours that retains high image quality while taking up to 30% less space than JPEG. The brightness function allows you to choose between a sharp or soft display of the scene and fine-tune it with 11 levels to suit your personal taste. White Balance Shift offers Auto, Custom, colour Temperature and other preset modes, as well as fine-tuning via WB Shift using the Red (R) and Blue (B) coordinates.
Updated AF algorithm
With an improved predictive AF algorithm, the GFX100S II provides enhanced subject tracking and improved AF accuracy in low-contrast environments compared to its predecessor, the GFX100S. This means it can accurately track a wide range of subjects, including dynamic portraits, sports and wildlife. The GFX100S II's AF algorithm improves face and eye detection, leaving photographers free to focus on composition and timing. The GFX100S II also features autofocus with subject detection based on AI deep learning technology. Using artificial intelligence, it can detect and target a variety of objects, including animals, of birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, aircraft, trains, insects and drones.
Premium image stabilisation for perfect handheld sharpness
To maximize the benefits of the 102-megapixel large-format sensor, the GFX100S II features the most powerful in-body image stabilization (IBIS) yet in a GFX system camera - the 5-axis system provides an impressive gain of up to 8.0 feet. This is made possible by a precision-engineered IBIS unit with accurate gyroscopic and accelerometer sensors designed to correct even the smallest movements. As a result, manual image creation is more agile and effortless.
Lightness, functionality and Japanese precision in one body
Weighing 883 g (1.95 lb), the body weight has been reduced compared to the GFX100S, despite a number of feature enhancements such as a powerful in-body image stabilization system. Whether you want to shoot landscapes, portraits or travel shots, it's never been easier to carry a 102-megapixel sensor for maximum image quality. The body of the GFX100S II is coated with BISHAMON-TEX™, which is also used on the flagship GFX100 II. The three-arrow pattern inspired by traditional Japanese design not only enhances the look of the camera, but also serves to provide a stable grip.
Sophisticated ergonomics, intuitive operation and durability without compromise
The Fujifilm GFX100S II offers a comfortable and stable grip thanks to the ergonomic BISHAMON-TEX™ coated handle, which ensures a secure hold and comfort during use. Combined with excellent image stabilization, it provides support when shooting handheld. The camera features the familiar mode dial for quick access to exposure options. In addition to the PASM modes, it also includes six user positions for storing custom settings that can be easily activated according to specific scenarios. The 1.8-inch subLCD monitor displays key data, like shutter speed, the screen, ISO, exposure compensation, the number of frames remaining and the length of the video. Customization according to personal preferences makes it intuitive and efficient to use.
